Deputy City Clerk (Part-Time)

The City of Paris, Idaho is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Deputy City Clerk to assist with administrative and financial operations at City Hall. This position is part-time and requires availability three (3) days per week.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Utility billing and accounts receivable
  • Accounts payable, including processing payments
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Assisting with preparation of meeting agendas
  • Recording and preparing City Council meeting minutes
  • Communicating professionally with the public
  • Communicating with the Mayor and City Council
  • General clerical and administrative support as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information appropriately
  • Prior municipal or government experience is a plus, but not required
